Is this horse way overweight

Question

I found it when i typed in mini horse, you need to scroll down a little

my question is, Is this horse real? or photoshopped?

The photo shows a pony/mini horse with dwarfism.

The pic of Thumbelina also shows her chondrodysplastic rear legs, which is common in dwarf ponies.  Notice that the head is longer than the neck, another sign.

The HUGE barrel doesn't always indicate obesity, though.  It's amplified by the disporportionately short legs and neck.

I think any mini that produces a foal with dwarfism should not be bred again, as many of these little guys suffer terribly.  The things that are done to produce the desired smaller, smaller, smaller need to be tempered with the resulting bad results.

The picture is very cute, but the chrondrodysplasia comes in varying degrees.  There's NOTHING cute as it progresses and these little guys are unable to hobble around.

Gross.  Poor horse.  Look at her neck and belly.  I know she is oddly proportioned in the first place but still...

That poor little thing is a pitiful freakshow.  I don't find her cute at all but horribly deformed, and it's probably due to some stupid human trying to breed the smallest horse in the world.

To answer your question, I think she is probably overweight, but it's really hard to know for sure since there is no sense of proportion in any of her body parts.
