Is this hotel in a safe section of San Diego?

I'm going to San Diego for the first time and I found a hotel at 1955 San Diego Ave. Does anyone know if this is a nice area?

Because I always visit San Diego very frequently, I can tell you that it is in an okay place.

You rarely can go wrong in San Diego.  The city as a whole is America's Finest City.  And this area in particular is in a nice, decent area.  Have fun and enjoy your stay in beautiful sunny San Diego, California.

that's a nice area.  It isn't luxurious like the gaslamp,but you also find a lot of bums in the gaslamp since it is downtown.  You don't have to worry about that where you are.  You are fine.

Its ok. Not dangerous or anything just not the gaslamp, mission bay or la jolla. Very centrally located though.

As a native San Diegan, I can tell you that 1955 San Diego Ave. is located in a very safe area.
