first, both of my sisters heard old music in the atic. then one day i was sitting at my table drawing. i was right under the old skylight that had been covered by a heavy-duty ply wood. well, i heard a young guys voice whisper my name. i turned around and no one was there. i got up and went in the living room to see if any one called me. everyone denied it. suddenly, the piece of plywood fell and dented our table. if i didnt get up, i would have been killed. scary. finally, my mom was in the bed. everyone else was sleeping. she locked all doors and windows and read a book in her bed. she heard our dog barking. then a young mans voice said "jake its me" jake is the name of our dog. mom thought it was my sisters(16 yr old) bf. she got up and the front door was wide open. she thought jessica(my sis) went outside. she looked outside and jake was sleeping and no one was out there. my sisters were all in bed. she also said doors would open and close by themselves about twice a week. haunted house right?

  1. Wow!! I'll trade you houses!!!

And yes, it seems you have some paranormal activity...NOT paranoia.

  2. Q. I think my house is haunted, for real. What should I do?

    A. First, you eliminate the natural explanations. Is anyone in the house on drugs? Seriously, are they? I've known quite a few pot smokers who had a "ghost" in their house. Stop taking drugs, and the ghosts will go away.  Does the ghost only seem to bother certain people? A child who wants attetion? An elderly person in the first stages of alzheimers? Schitzophrenics often live in "haunted houses" and talk to aliens too. Is there a source of running water nearby? A noisy aquarium pump turned out to be the "ghost" in one house I know of.  If the occurences can't be eliminated by natural explanations, then you should call in a minister to bless the house. DO NOT call anyone with an occult or New Age background, because it won't do any good, and will probably make your situation much worse. Coventer's Prison in England had a problem with visitors being attacked by unseen forces in the late 1990's. They called in a spiritualist "minister" (i.e., a medium) to exorcise the place. The medium pronounced the place cleared, but of course it didn't work. He died a few days later, and the occurences were worse than ever. They finally closed the site to visitors, because of the unexplained marks and cuts visitors kept getting! I also know of someone who thought they had ghosts in their home and called in some Wiccans to do a "cleansing ritual". The situation only got worse. Don't get occultists involved. No Wiccans, Voodooists, Santerios, Canduras, "white witches", ceremonial magicians, Rosicrucians, Theosophists, Cabalists, spiritualists, psychics, "spiritual advisors", or anything like that. These people think they know a lot, they'll act like they do, but they don't (I'm not being mean, I'm being honest).

Get a Christian minister from a Bible believing church (no Mormons, Unitarians, JW's, Unity, or other cults). Chances are there is one close by. If they don't want to handle it for some reason, call someone else. Get out a phone book if you have to. It won't be hard to find someone who can help you.

  3. I am still scared of things under my bed FYI! I think it is a scary house!!! RUUUUUN! I mean you could have been killed! RUUUN FASTER! Old music, voices RUUUUN EVEN FASTER! GET OUT OF THERE AND QUICK!

  4. As creepy as these all seem, remember that ultimately ghosts are just a figment of our imagination. When people get scared, our minds go into a sort of hyper-sensitive mode where we feel afraid of everything, and very jumpy to the slightest noise. This comes from when we were the prey in the predator-prey relationship- our adrenaline needed to be pumping to get up out of there if there really was a wolf/bear/leopard.

So most likely, when you or your mother heard things, they were actually just imaginings. Doors close and open (if they're unlatched- which they often aren't completely) because of the wind blowing all the time.

Chances are that your encounter with the plywood and the name-calling (which may have been a mischievous or forgetful family member calling you, or just something you mistook for your name- I do it all the time) made everyone nervous and on-edge, so they were much more open to the thoughts of the paranormal because they're scared.

So I figure, first time coincidence, second times just people imagining/forgetting things because of fear.

  7. ohhhhhhh, my favorite!!!

well, I would say it's the ghost of a close releative of yours who is kind enough to prevent your death and is close and smell friendly( for your dog) which prevent him from barking...well, again, I'd say he is nothing to be worry about and he only wants to be with you...so I'd say it;s better to cope with him and try not to hurt his feeling( I mean try not to make him angry)...GOOD LUCK!!!!!
