  2. Chef Emeril Lagasse has the best rib recipes.  Search his recipes at foodnetwork.com.  You may think that his recipes involve too many ingredients, but followed perfectly they are outstanding.

  3. That's what the recipe at cooks.com says.

Just make sure you remove the thin membrane from the bony side of the ribs before cooking.  That membrane gets so tough and you can't chew through it.

Personally, I'd cook the ribs at 250 for about 3 hours without turning and without water.  The juices and fat from the ribs will provide enough moisture so they won't dry out.  After 3 hours, or when the meat is pulling back from the bone I chill them thoroughly before adding the BBQ sauce and placing in a very hot oven for 30 mins.  They get crisp after chilling and are oh so tender!

  4. it appears the bbq sauce is used as a flavor ingredient for the first 2 hours of cooking. the bbq sauce has sugar in it. and at 400 it may burn. This looks like it will work fine. the alternative would be to use a dry rub instead of the bbq sauce during hte 2nd hour

  5. I have a great fool-proof recipe for ribs.

Marinade the ribs overnight in your favourite bar-b-q sauce.  I cut my ribs into serving size portions, say about 5 ribs.  When you are ready to bake them, wrap each rib piece "tightly" in aluminum foil.  Bake in over at 250 degrees for 2 - 2 1/2 hours.  Take out and let cool, then I like to put on the grill for a few minutes to get the nice grill marks.

    They are delicious, try it.

  7. Basically, but if I start them in the oven, I usually finish them on the grill.  I also do a rub and don't baste with BBQ sauce until the final cooking process.

Aaron on Foodnetworks Big Daddy's House had a great recipe this week, here is the link:
