My aunt is a kindergarten teacher. The school started for hate year on Monday. On Friday, there was a child that came up to ask her to go to the bathroom and then he kept staring at her. She said "Honey, can I help you?". He said "Sorry, I was just staring at your b***s.". She said, "First of all, the proper name is b*****s, but please honey don't stare that's rude." She wasn't wearing anything reveling, just a regular shirt. My mom told her she should call the parents, but my aunt thinks that it's fine unless it persists.

  1. i would call the parents only to cover my own A$$ now if these kid goes home and tells his parents he learned the word b*****s on his first day of kindergarten she could get in trouble

  2. IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY AND THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN DO THAT IS THE PARENT DON'T TAKE THE CONTROL AWAY FROM THE PARENT

  3. I think she should call the parents, that's horrible! I wonder what type of environment he's being raised in.

  4. Sometimes kids at this age can hear things at home that they don't completely understand. It could be any male figure, for that matter, that might have said something in passing and this boy overheard him. Kindergartners are trying to copy grownups. It makes them feel grownup themselves. I think a warning for this boy was appropriate. He should now understand that something that he maybe heard somewhere is not appropriate. I think your aunt as right.

  5. I believe she did handle that well and to inform the parents about such beavior, perhaps that is the start of a mini lesson to the child.  Children are very curious and say things.  So again just depends on thcircumstancece... :-)

  6. This is a Catch 22. You're darned if you do, and you're darned if you don't.

Good points are brought up for both reasons, but your Aunt is the best judge of this particular situation.

  7. shes right, its fine unless it keeps happeneing.

  8. kindergarten kids are "CURIOUS" and just because they are fascinated with b***s doesn't necessarly mean something is going on at home, i agree with your aunt , if it continues then tell the parents because if it was just random it will cause embarrassment for the adults!!
