Is this illegal? ''boxing on dvd''

i came across a site that specializes in boxing on dvd and im just curious as to if this is legal or not? i am interested in purchasing some but i dont want any part of it if its illegal? if anyone can help me figure out if this is copyright infingment please do.

but they are bootlegs there burned onto dvd isnt that copyright infringment?

it all depends. the producers/providers may have requested and been approved to sell dvds of boxing matches. if you're referring to sanctioned matches from hbo and showtime and pay-per-view, they could be severely punished for reproducing these fights as these matches are copyrighted material. if they are amateur fights from boxing gyms they may not be copyrighted and no one may own any rights to the fights.

....I think you want a lawyer, not a martial artist. Why would it be illegal to sell boxing DVDs? Is it illegal to sell Disney DVDs? No.
