The marrige set-up thing when before you're born you already have a husband/wife chosen for you.

Illegal or not? WTF???

Its only illegal if you refuse to do it, but you are forced to anyways.  If the person is fine with it, it is not illegal.

talk to your parents.according to my 'religion' which i hardly follow

says it must be an arranged marriage.. but you got choices.. you get to meet with this person and if you like them then you marry.. i know it sucks but TALK to your parents about it..

It's not illegal.  On the other hand, once you become of age, old enough to marry, you are entitled to make your own decision. So if you decide you don't want to marry this person you can't be forced to.

In culture that do this, the kids usually go along with the plan.  But the betrothal doesn't have the force of law, it is not seen as a binding contract but as an informal arrangement.

It would be illegal to coerce someone into marriage.  If your parents picked someone for you and you agree, then there's nothing wrong.

if it's your culture your parents are the one who set it up. the only thing the law has to do with it is the marrige part, which isn't illegal.

its not illegal. but it is unethical on a few reasons.

1 is the fact that you cant make someone marry a person that don't love.

2 is the fact it is way too dang early to even predict who they will marry.

3 The future wasn't meant for people's predictions.

4 marriage is base on love and stability of the relationship. If there anit no love, there is no relationship other than money.

5 it is illegal to force somebody into marrige. It is a type of slavery, believe it or now cuz it is going against soneone's will and is tied to rape and violence charges and no one wants that on their record in this country.

This country isn't india  or the middle-east. be lucky you are in a technically free country.  .. as long as you don't intentionally hurt people.

This only becomes illegal if you refuse and are forced to marry this person, unless this happens it's just some fucked up parents who don't know how to let there kids live there on life.

its not illegal. No one can make you marry anyone, it requires your signature so you cant be forced.
