To be driving in the state of new jersey (under the age of 21) with closed bottles of beer and vodka. I know you will get in trouble if they are already opened but i wonder if you could travel safely with them fresh and unopened.

  1. Possession. You can't buy, you can't carry, you can't sell.

    NO means NO.

  2. Minors are not allowed to possess alcohol.  Period.  Open, closed, in the trunk, etc.  None at all.  Too easy to decide to drink it and open it up.

When it comes to selling alcohol, 18-20 year olds are "supervised" when doing so, at the expense of the bar/store owner.

  3. Yes,

you'd still be considered a minor in possession.

  4. It slightly depends on the situation. In NJ you can bartend at 18, so you can technically possess alcohol you just can't drink it. If you were a delivery driver of some sort and your duties included the transport of alcohol you would be fine. If it is your personal car, registered in your name, and there is no legitimate purpose for you having the bottles then yes, its illegal and you could be cited.

  5. yes its illegal, you have to be 21 to transport any alcohol. if you cant buy them then the law is the same with them being in your possession
