I am thinking about purchasing a 1996 subaru legacy sedan AWD from my grandparents and they are charging me $3,000. I personally think that this is ridiculous. They said that it was Kelly Blue Book value, and i checked it and it was, but the price for a car that old is outrages. the car has 100000 miles on it, cassette, power windows and doors, and slight damages to the right door and left front end. automatic, am/fm, pretty standard car. i think that it should be less than this because of the cosmetic defects and damage it has to it and had to be repaired. i mean its not noticable now cuz it has been repaired, but still it had been accident, so im trying to convince my grandparents that ill pay for the insurance of $1000, but they won't budge. If they hear more opionions from others they may let me pay lower for the car?

  1. First of all, its a bad idea to do business with family...specially sweet ol' grandparents. But the car sounds like its in good condition despite it being old. If youre really not convinced, you can easily get yourself a car in your price range. Just be patient and and dont hussle your granpa! :-)

  2. for $4,000

    look for

98 Acura CL, 98 Ford Mustang V6, 98 Honda Accord or Civic, 98 Nissan Frontier or Pathfinder, 98 Subaru Impreza or Legacy, 98 -00 Toyota Corolla or Echo 00

these are all reliable and will last longer than other cars in this price range.

  3. thats some mean grandparents bro.

  4. If you don't like the deal , walk away and buy another car,No one is forcing you to buy it, and don't try to pressure your grandparents either, good luck
