My sister is not fat but thinks she needs to lose weight, so she's starving herself. She starved herself for six weeks once and she ended up going to the hospital because of it. She recovered from it and now she's starving herself again. I talked to her, i told her that it's very unhealthy, i told her there are better ways. So have a lot of other people but she won't listen to anyone. So now I just kind of make her eat by force. It takes a while but she eats. Is this the wrong thing to do?

  1. no what your doing is good. maybe exercise with her like go on bike rides together or walk.

  2. No I think you're being extremely brave by doing this. Dealing with an eating disorder within a family is a really hard thing to do. Have you ever thought about suggesting some counseling and a nutritionist? I am going through an eating disorder recovery myself and the help of a nutritionist and a psychologist has made the whole process worlds easier for me. I am now starting to finally feel stronger, and I'm able to actually enjoy my food without worrying about gaining weight. Just remember that getting rid of an eating disorder is a process. Don't be discouraged if your sister experiences setbacks. Just move on from them and know that tomorrow is a new day and it's okay to have to get back on track.  Best of luck! You must be an awesome sister :)

  3. No it's not the wrong thing to do, but you need to get her in counseling for having an eating disorder before her condition and mental state gets worse.
