Is this just a stage that most have? ?

This is very embarrassing to ask, but is wanting to be able to act a stage in everyone's life? I cry every now and then about it. Is this normal? I watch a movie (musical) and can sing every song and act out some parts of it. My friends don't do this.

Please let me know.

(Sorry I can't give my age...around 15's)

If no one has these dreams of wanting to be an actor-how do they know it's not their calling.

We all have different passions.  Sounds like you and I have something in common bc I have the same love for musicals and performing in them.  You are still young and you can live the dream, sweetie.  There is no reason not to.  Chances are you will still have this desire the older you grow.  I got this desire when I was very young (like 4 or 5) and now I am 23 and I still want to act and stuff.  (I did stuff in high school, but now I am a mommy)

Haha, I know what it's like to be that weird kid who sings all the time. It may not be "normal", but what is normal, really? Be proud of your drama geeky ness. It might be a stage, but it could be something you love and don't even realize it. Take some classes or try out for a school play. If you really enjoy it, stick with it for a while and see if it might be something you want to pursue. If after a while it seems like you'd get bored of acting, it's probably just a stage.

Sure it's normal.  For both sexes.  If acting is something you really want, it will come to you naturally and things will work themselves out.
