I'm amazed that he has no clue what the Joint Chiefs do. This comes from CNN by the way so you libs can't say its spin....

Why is this such a problem for you.  It's not like Bush listened to his generals either.

Remember, GEN Shinseki (sp), when he said it would take 500,000 troops to occupy Iraq?  He was graciously shown the door.

Even though CENTCOM would have the "operational control" of the troops, the Joint Chiefs are the highest ranking military officers in the country, so the orders would still come from the top down.

That's job one when applying for ANY job. Know what the job does, what the company does and how the infrastructure of that company works.

If ANY one of us made a similar gaffe during a job interview (and that's what the election is, a giant job interview with 300 million employers) we would not be hired, no matter how much "change" we talked about.

I am, however, willing to bet McCain knows what the joint Chiefs do and that we have 50, not 57 states. And he can say nuclear, which should impress the libs, as they seem to like that.
