i dreamt that i had gone against my parents wishes and gotten a tattoo...one on each of my calves. it was a tattoo of the face of an animated animal in red and grey. and then i realized that i didn't like it and that i would have to live with it for the rest of my life and if i got it removed my legs would scar and that i would always have to wear jeans to cover it up from my parents...even though i'm almost 18. and at some point i remembered it was just a dream...but then forgot and started crying again.

  1. Well it seems like you are struggling with trying to please your parents and becoming independent. You don't want to go against them in any way or do something that will make them upset, yet in your dream you go and get tattoos anyways but then regret doing it. I think maybe in real life you may be stuck between wanting to grow up and doing what you want now that you're almost 18 and still trying to please your parents. I think this dream has meaning- it may reflect your feelings towards your relationship with your parents and the control they have over you still. you are torn with which way you want to go. just my interpretation.

  2. it could mean a giant secret is coming your way

  3. You are doing something or exhibiting some sort of behaviour that will leave a permanent mark on your life. The legs are our foundation, where we stand, what holds us up. It is a decision, whatever "it" is, that will, in your own words, you "would have to live with for the rest of your life". The tattoo being of a cartoon character shows that the choice is foolish and immature.Even if you try to rescind the decision at a later time, it will still leave a scar on your life and you would have to be constantly vigilant about keeping it covered up.

So, it sounds as if you are about to make a big mistake and you are telling yourself to reconsider your choice(s). Your parents in your dream is your wiser self trying to get the message across to you as, for most people, they represent authority and wisdom.
