This guy with a clipboard knocks on my door, asked me if i have an alarm in my house, and asked me if i'm the owner.

I said i am not the owner. he asked when will he be back.

I also said i dont know. Then he went away.

Do people ask you these questions in order to rob my house?

  1. I would defiantly be careful but then again people are cheap and bad communicators and he could be trying to make business... but defiantly be careful

  2. That deffffinitely sounds suspicious.

  3. I would be careful

  4. Don't be paranoid. From all you told us there was not a thing to be suspicious about.

But it would be appropriate to ask someone why they want to know things, and ask for their card.

  5. maybe but he sounds more like he is tryin to make bussiness

  6. Wow...I'd be worried about that, too.  Maybe you could pick up some of those cheap little door and window alarms that screech if someone tries to open them. That will usually scare a burglar away and at least alert you so you can call 911.
