Is this kitchen essentials stainless steel pan good

Question

I purchashed a kitchen essentials from calphalon, stainless steel pan with a glass lid for $40 from target. I originally bought a cheap one for 15 dollars but returned it because i questioned it.

its an 18/10 and has a thich aluminum bottom core. so is the aluminum covered by stainless & wont leach into the food? I know using aluminum is not good.

Could i find a good set for $100? i was reading through questions & people have said they bought a good quality stainless set for $100 at macys. & kmart for 50

It will be more like $100.  Reports say Cuisinairt is the best for the price range and yes, Macy's has them on sale.

Clad is the best, but they start at $500.

Aluminum in the base is o.k.
