Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Digital SLR Lens

is this a prime lens? it only has a focal of 60mm and is 2.8 the only aperture it can do?

This is a prime lens ... most macro lenses are.

The largest aperture is f/2.8.  Interestingly enough, Canon does not list the smallest aperture for that lens on their website.  The macro lenses I have stop down to f/32.  My guess is that Canon's will as well.

Is the lens good?  No, it is excellent

That is a gret lense!

do not be fooled, you can take great shots with that lense! just remember not to use it in large area circumstances; i.e. in place of fish eyed lense
