Dear Miss xxxxx,
I haven’t seen you for a very long time. How are you? I hope you are all right.
I write this letter to you because I want to thank you for all your efforts. If it hadn’t been for you, I
wouldn’t have achieved considerable success as a writer. Without your help and support I wouldn’t
become self-confident so that I couldn’t be able to become that person who I am now.
I want to say that you was a very significant person in my life and the only teacher who didn’t go out
of her way to be nice to me because I am black. By the way, I loved your lessons because the
atmosphere was peaceful like any other.
As I wrote, I am a writer now. So I want to tell you that I wrote about you in one of my books.
It’s name is ‘I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings’. You crop in my book up because you are the only
teacher I remembered and a very intelligent and self-confident women. To be quite honest, I must
admit that you were my idol.
All in all, I want to thank you very much for your great teacher skills, your fairness to people and your
agility to make teenagers more self-confident.
I hope that we will meet soon. I wish you all the best.
I’m looking forward to hear from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
.....
