  1. No. this is a pic of a Skink.  Some skinks have very small teeth but for the most part will run and hide if approached.  Just leave them alone and they won't bother you, as a matter of fact they will help control any bug or worm problems you may or may not have.

  2. Not at all, that is a blue-tailed skink, and from my own personal experience with owning one, their bites do absolutely nothing. Those little guys are totally harmless, and extremely fast. Its good to just let the little guy sun bathe by your pool.

  3. no. this is a blue-tongued skink. if i were you, i would catch it and keep it as a pet!

  4. nooooo that's a skink. there r only 2 poisonous lizards in the world the Gila monster and the kamodo dragon. so any other lizard u c u can bet that its not poisonous.

  5. this is just a skink its completely harmless

there are only 2 venomous lizards in the world

the gila monster and the beaded lizard

the Komodo dragon is not a venomous species

it is the saliva which contains deadly bacteria that causes death through blood poisoning within a couple of days

the gila and beaded lizard have venom glands on the bottom jaw the venom is painful but there have been no records of deaths through gila and beaded lizard bites

and I doubt you will ever come close to a Komodo in the wild so you have nothing to worry about :)

  6. Well, I know you didn't take that picture because the lizard in the picture is a blue tailed mole skink from Florida. I live in Arlington, Texas, so I know the lizard you saw is a five lined skink, which is very similar in appearance to the lizard in your photo. They are completely harmless. There are many kinds of skinks, including five lined skinks and broadhead skinks, which have blue tails as juveniles. Here's a five lined skink:

And to correct a couple of the previous answers, there are only two venomous lizards in the world, Gila monsters and Mexican beaded lizards. Komodo dragons are not venomous or poisonous. They have a bacteria in their mouth which they get from eating decomposing flesh and causes a severe infection which can kill in less than 24 hours. Komodo dragons in zoos are not fed rotten flesh and do not have these bacteria.

  7. This lizard is called a is  blue-tailed skink they have very beautiful markings and at at the beginning are gold and the at there tail they are a greyish-blue hence the name blue-tailed skink they are nowhere near poisonous they are very harmless and extraordinary reptiles if you wish to find more you find them in wet areas and mostly when it rains

  8. The only poisonous lizards I know of are the Gila Monster and the Komodo Dragon.

In the picture is a blue-tailed skink. They are harmless. I used to chase them all over our pool when I was a kid!
