  1. That is definatly safe to drink However; it has been fermenting for  over 15 years that champagne is probobly going to taste like moonshine and have a higher proof then stated on the bottle. All liqueur is firmenting fruits and things and age makes it ferment longer therefore makeing it stronger but still safe.

  2. It should be safe to drink, but storing champagne at the right temperature will definitely affect the taste of it. Hopefully, it didn't get too warm. Cheers!

  3. It is probably safe to drink. The only way to be sure is to open it and try it.

  4. just try it, if it tastes bad don't drink it

  5. I should think so if it is still corked but not by himself.

          Apprentice.

  6. sure, hopefully it was kept on the side so its not corked, otherwise you should get away with a 15 year old bottle of champagne, i have one my parents kept for me since i was born and i dont think they thought i would drink it age 15, well they hoped i wouldnt anyway ;)

if its a bit funny, just mix it into cocktails.. im sure there are more appropriate websites with champagne cocktails but amaretto mixed with champagne is marvelous, tho i found that out by chance and i havent patented it yet ;)

if it was stood up straight it could be corked but just mix it with strawberries, cherries, amaretto, orange juice, gin and lime - yes, thats a real cocktail called a french 75? or something. there are tons of things to do with champagne, even adding a tiny bit to scrambled eggs makes them really fluffy.. or you can make a summer fruit terraine with it, there are a million things to do with champagne.. ! =)

if it did turn into vinegar... cook with it lol

  7. Give it a try, probably vinegar by now but you never know Cheers

  8. When you open it smell the cork, if it smells like mildew, vinegar or old orange peel it's corked!! Other than that enjoy,(just dont drink it all yourself). xx

  9. If it is still charged with bubbles it should be OK, but if it has been sitting straight up the cork is probably dry and the gas has escaped and that should make it pure vinegar.

if the cork is plastic it probably was cheap to start with.

If it has been lying on its side there is a chance it is still good,  Especially it it has been rotated periodically.

It should have been in a controlled 50-60 degree room in partial dark.

  10. For Gods sake don't un-cork it in the conditions it has been stored at. Get it in the fridge for at least a day otherwise someone will end needing a guide dog and you'll have lost the entire contents of the bottle.

    TOP TIP.

When you have cooled it down sufficiently using  a tea towel or something, slowly take off the wire to free up the cork.

Get your glasses ready (the ones you are going to drink out of!) and rotate the bottle slowly.....not the cork. If everything goes OK the gases in the bottle will not be strong and no problems will occur.

Dont try to fill up each glass to the brim right away but half ,and then just top up as necessary.

    Cheers.

  11. if it has never been opened it should be, call your local liquor store and ask them.
