  1. Yes the PMR is a good gun ands its a bit more than beginner if you want a good beginner gun i suggest you get the Proto Slg same company and upgrade the feed neck but if you have enaught money get the pmr cause you don't have to upgrade th feed neck maybe the barrel.

If you have the money buy a PMR but get an H.A.L.O OR A GOOD ELECTRONIQUE LOADER.

  2. Yeah, the PMR is a pretty good gun and is good for beginners, just be careful not to strip the backcap (made of polymer or some other composite plastic material - strong enough but not as strong as metal) whenever you clean/relube the bolt assembly.  But everything is explained in the manual.

True, you do need hpa (compressed air, nitro, whatever you want to call it) but you don't necessarily NEED an electronic hopper, you just won't benefit from the speed of the gun without one.

  3. This gun way MORE than a beginner can handle. For a beginner, I would recommend a Tippmann 98 custom because it is extremely durable and reliable. But hey, if that person is really into paintball, get this Proto. He/she is not going to de disappointed. If you have the money, get the invert mini. It's a lot better in many ways.

go to pbreview.com to check out reviews on guns.

NOTE: these guns require a HPA (air) tank instead of CO2.

they also require an electronic loader (hopper).

    My invert mini setup:

    invert mini

    empire reloader B

    pure energy 68/30 (fiber wrapped)

    Smart parts freak kit

This set works miracles for me.

**one thing about the Provo matrix rail is that it is mostly plastic or whatever that material is called.

Get the invert mini if you can. You won't be disappointed with the Proto or invert. These two are really great guns.

  4. I've got a PMR Special Edition. It's not a beginner gun, more of an intermediate gun. Don't let that stop you from buying it, it's a really nice gat and will be much better than a Tippmann or something for starting off, because it'll need to be maintained better and so it'll get you some experience.

Anyways, don't get the regular PMR, get the Special Edition. A lot of parts on the standard are made out of plastic, but on the SE they're metal and much more durable. The SE is only an extra $15 too, so you'll save money by not needing to spend so much for upgrades.

But don't listen to the answerer that said the Invert Mini is better. It's really only good because of it's size. It's one of the smallest, lightest guns on the market right now.

So in conclusion, get the PMR Special Edition to save money and time.

    Have fun.

  5. this is my marker that i use in all of my tourneys it is not a beginners gun it can be finicky to keep the gun operational i would sugjest a tippmann marker and make sure you are wanting to start playing paintball for real and then go spend ur money
