You can buy these at every back street dealer in the UK with a [ very ] limited 3 month warranty for £450 / £500. That no more then $1000 in US dollar.

Walk away from that deal mate.

It might be low millage, but who cares, it Japanese , it will go 10 times round the clock if looked after.

I'd say its worth 1500.00; IF it's been well cared for and isn't beaten up. The miles aren't bad for a bike that old, and if it's been stored mostly inside during it's life, that could be a pretty good deal. Just proceed with caution and check it out thoroughly!

not really.... try to get him down to 1000-1200... but, there are alot off people buying bikes to save gas so you may end up paying 1500 for similar
