Is this my cat's mucus plug? How long before kittens?

My cat is having kittens, but we aren't sure why there seems to be a gooey mucus on her tail end. Is this her mucus plug? If so, how long before she has kittens?

Sounds to me like it's your cats mucus plug. Usually once that happens you have 24-48 hours untill all the kittens have been delivered. Your cat is either going to want to be left alone in a private place or she may want you or one of your family members that she trusts present when she has the kittens. If she gets stressed out from your presence just let her be and give her some space. If not she may just enjoy your company.

After she has the kittens make sure that as they're getting bigger that you don't only pay attention to them but also to her as well. As she could easily get jealous of them.
