I had brain surgery on Oct 30th. So my boyfriend drove my car from that date until Mid March of this year and never drove his car, because I was not released to drive then. So then after I was allowed, he continued to drive my car (yes, I know I shouldn't have let him), then he had me drive his vehicle when I needed to go somewhere (I have a few more thing wrong w/ me that may require more surgery) so I don't work right now. Well, it got worse and worse, my car that is, and I asked him to have the oil changed, since he was driving it and have it looked at and he would not. Now the engine is capoot! Done for, my car will not budge. It sounds horrible when starting up and then it shuts down. I was told by someone it is the engine that is gone. Plan on paying lots of money or junking my car (it is a 2003 cavalier). So now he says it is my fault, it is my car so it is my fault and responsiblity. We live together and I am not the one who drove it. He did, because it had air (cont)

  1. You are not wrong in wanting him to help with repairs, but you ARE the one at fault here.  You did not check to make certain he was maintaining the car and ultimately, the car is YOUR responsibility, not his.  Hope you got rid of him.  Write it off as lesson learned.

  2. No way. It's not your fault!! He's an a*****e. Take his car and leave is ***!! You don't want to be with a guy who treats his things like that anyway!!
