I am pretty much obsessed with baby names, I am always figuring out names for future children, making lists of names I like, putting names together etc. And one name I have come across that I really like is Kelsey, I know it started out as a boy name so I'm wondering if it would be too masculine to use on a little girl? Opinions?

  1. I think that Kelsey can be both feminine and masculine....if it's for a girl it can be very sweet and cute.  It's not a common boys name either, and so I don't think that would be a problem.  :)

  2. It's a fine name, not my favorite but there's nothing wrong with it for a girl.

  3. I kind of like the name Kelsey.  What you might do is change the spelling of it or something... Kelsie.  I know a girl that was named that from church and it was a pretty name.  I just wouldn't name your daughter Pantera...I know a girl named that too.

  4. No. Definitely not too masculine. Very pretty girl name.

  5. The only male Kelsey I've ever heard of (I live in the US) is Kelsey Grammar, of "Frasier" fame.  On the other hand, Kelsey falls into that Kaylee/Keeleigh/Kylie/Katelyn trend that is so popular these days.  What's with the K names, I wonder?

  6. No, I don't think so. I've seen plenty of little girls with that name :) I personally have a version of it- chelsea, lol.

    Good luck!

  7. First I want to applaud you for thinking about how the name you choose for your child will impact her, maybe for the rest of her life, case in point - Pilot Inspektor, actor Jason Lee's sons name. And no Kelsey is not to masculine it is a beautiful name.

  8. I went to school with 3 Kelseys and they were all girls! I think it fits into the catagory of Ashleigh... Many many more females than males!

  9. NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

  10. I think I've only ever heard of one male Kelsey... and he's a tv star or something.  All the other Kelsey's I have heard of are female.

  11. i know like 400 Kelsey's and they are all girls so def. not!

  12. I think it's just fine as a girls name.... It's cute!

  13. i dont know anyone with the name kelsey as a boy

  14. No of course not. I don't know a single boy named Kelsey. I do though know lots of girls. And they all really like their name. It's pretty.
