Is this nightshade?(the plant)?

PLEASE HELP...My mom said I have nightshade growing in my garden.....?

Okay my mom came from outta town and as she was leaving she was like oh ya you have nightshade growing in your garden...but at that point she was too far away to get to my garden and tell me what it is....So I have loked up nightshade on the internet but cant find one that looks like either of the two plants that I cant 100% tell what they are. Can you please look at the pics and help me figure it out. I planted 12 different kinds of tomatos for the first time so I just thought both of these plant where just that.I also planted 30 other kinds of plants and 1/2 of them I have never planted. But if they are not I dont want to go pullin out perfectly good vegtables. THANX!!!!

I suspect your mom was pulling your leg.  Tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, and eggplant are all members of the nightshade family.  You don't want to eat the foliage of any of them but the fruit is harmless.  Let the "nightshade" plants grow and produce fruit.

they don't look like nightshade to me but if I were you I would leave them and wait and see.

Nightshade can either refer to a family of plants (of which the tomato, potato and eggplant belong) or a genus of plants, mostly weeds.  Your photos look like the garden tomato!

We have silverleaf nightshade in our backyard that is a real pain to get rid of.  It's a toxic plant.

Tomatoes are members of the nightshade family.... it's quite likely that that's all you have. hard to tell with those pics.
