Look I know I've asked this before but every TWO days I'll be filling his 16 oz water bottle because it goes empty quick. Like the first day I fill it up with water, about 12 oz will already be missing. He doesn't seem to have diabetes cause he shows no signs, he's fat and doesn't have a wet bottom or anything like that. Is this perfectly normal?

  1. when a guinea pig drinks alot of water then that a sign that hes hot or that your not feeding him hardlly any veggies.

you are probably just feeding him pellets no?

  2. Check if the water bottle is leaking. If it is then you might want to move it around to a place where the water doesn't come out easily or just buy a new one because it may be broken.

  3. that is not normall

  4. Thats fine, if he's not got a wet bottom or any thing he's probs just thirsty, if he only eats dryfood and hay, you could give him moist treats like carrot which may quench his thirst.

  5. That isn't normal... The average guinea pig only drinks 6-10 oz of water per day... Check and make sure the water bottle isn't leaking... if it isn't you should read about it in a book or on a website... How hot is it around the cage, because i know that Chili, my guinea pig, drinks a lot more when it is about 75 or hotter... Hope this helped! :0)

  6. check to make sure your water bottle isnt draining. this happened to me a couple times. it could have a leak that you can fix with a glue gun. or you can go get a glass one
