Question:

Is this normal? I have given birth to 4 other children and not a single one has acted like it!?

I recently gave birth to my 5th and 6th(twin girls!)biological children(I have a 14 year old step-daughter)on August 14th. My second youngest is 1 1/2. I expected jealousy because every other one of my children was jealous when their first younger sibling was born. I assumed it was normal.

But my 1 1/2 year old hasn't at all! She's helped out and not tried to be a baby. We spend time with her, sure, but we still expected a few tears or wetting pants(she's been potty trained for 4 months(she had intrested very young), but NOTHING.

Is this normal or is it just too soon? I'm not really concerned, more suprised.

Thanks in advance!

  1. thats good! just keep praising her for all the help she is giving mommy and make sure you keep spending time with her and im sure she will keep helping you =] she probably really likes helping the babies.

  2. Yeah, it is.

You shouldn't expect all of your children to be the same, every one of them has a different personality and mind, just as you do.

  3. That is really wonderful--and considering how full your household is, really lucky!  Of course, when the twins start moving around enough to get into her toys, that's going to be a new challenge.  Definitely keep up the praise.  Congratulations.

  4. Maybe you are just a wonderful mom! And she is a wonderful big sister!
