  1. That's a 220V outlet, just like for electric dryers. The newer outlets have 4 prongs now.

  2. Electric stoves and dryers all have this hefty plug.

If you're considering moving and taking your stove with you, you'll want to confirm that the new house is set up for an electric stove as well.

  3. I hope you have a place to plug that plug. That is for a 220 240 volt plug. It is an electric range correct. If you have no place to plug it then you have to get an electrician to install one or change stoves to gas. Gas stoves have the regular three prong plug in for the ignites and other things on it but the big three prong with the angled prongs on it is for 220 volts and the stove is just electric that is a standard plug for it and there is nothing strange about it at all.

  4. If by normal 3 pronger you mean dryer plug. Its because the stove must have a 50amp outlet while the dryer needs only 30amps.Your 110v outlet is only rated at 15amp.

  5. sounds like it needs 212volts

  6. That is normal for an electric stove. It is to ensure the proper amperage and 220 voltage.

  7. Are you saying it has a receptacle on the stove for something else to be plugged into?

Could be some accessory for the stove that requires 220 volts.
