Is this normal? Why does it happen? ?

I know I'm getting my period but there is like red discharge. I have had my period for a year now and this usually only happens before I get it. Oh and I'm fourteen. Is it normal?

maybe you miscounted and that is your period. if not you should really get it checked out it doesn't good.

Well, a red gellatin or clot-like discharge is totally normal but I've only ever had it during my period, not before.

Talk to your mom or any elder sisters and see if they have similar experiences.  Periods can be incredibly bizzarre, this might be entirely normal for the women in your family.

Yes it is normal its just another way for your body to tell you that its fixing to start.
