  1. not really but you must hav a very clever girl

  2. yeah. thats normal.

  3. All children differ, she is doing well so encourage her and enjoy it.

  4. All children do things at different times. The only time it's not considered 'normal' is when they aren't doing certain things long after the time it's expected. For example, not sitting up at 9 months.

My niece walked at 7.5 months and I know a number of girls who were forming full sentences before their first birthday. I know other children who haven't really talked until 2.5 years. All were the same by the time they were at school age.

  5. My son walked at nine months and he will do 3 word sentences too, he started about the same age as your daughter. He's 16 months now. They aren't pronounced perfectly, but simple sentences like "What is it?" are used. All kids are different, but your daughter is quite ahead for her age. Be proud Mummy :)

  6. Children develop at different rates I have three and all mine have been different, my first spoke at about 14-15months and yet my youngest I couldn't understand a word of what he said until he was 5 and he's not unintelligent it was just that way for him.

  7. My first was walking by 9 months and talking by 12 months. This isn't really common but it's not rare either. He is a very intelligent child and I had problems with him mixing with children his own age when he first went to school. He was tested for autism  but was not on the autistic spectrum ( my husband and I had always been adamant that he wasn't). He's just a very bright and mischievous 9 year old now with great potential for the future. My youngest seem to be following in his footsteps ( she's only 20 months).

  8. I think she should be able to say more than 3 word sentences at that age.  She should have a full vocabulary and talking completely by 18 months.

  9. yes this shows ur a very good mother that talks to ur child al the time i did this with al 3 of my kids and thay had a good vocabulary by the time thay were 15 months

  10. all babies vary from different ages! my son walked at 9 months and can speak well in sentences of about 4 words he is 22 months

  11. 14 months is early to start talking.  10 months is early for walking.

However, a word of caution - these are not indicators of intelligence, despite what people tell you.  My daughter is 16 months and also speaks in sentences, she started talking well before her peers the same age, and speaks much better than most children alot older than her.  She has a vocabulary of over 90 words, and now repeats pretty much whatever she hears.  However, her friends are starting to catch up.  I'm sure by the time they are 2 or 3, everything will pretty much equal out.

On the flip side, she didn't walk until she was 15 months (too busy talking, I guess!), but her friends walked around 12 months.  Now, at 16 months, they are all equally good walkers and runners.

There is a very wide range of "normal".  For example, "normal" for walking is anywhere between 7 and 18 months.  A huge range.

Your daughter is still kind of young to be deemed "advanced".

  12. i wouldn't think so. but you probably got a really smart daughter.

    i would be overjoyed.

  13. she must be a genius, sell her to me and i will make her a star.

  14. This sounds like my little one, she could walk at 10 months as well she is now 18 months and never stops talking she was saying sentances from a very early age.

  15. well yeah. my daughter has a 70 word vocabulary ( none are bad words) and tries to read brown bear brown bear and shes 15 months old. so yeah she just really smart.
