She spins and spins in circles until she's all dizzy then falls over, then she gets up and does it again. She's been doing this all day and keeps making herself so dizzy and falls over. I don't know how she learned it.

  1. Lol yes its normal. Kids do the strangest things.

If you want her to stop, then dont give her any attention what so ever while she is doing it. If not, then make sure you wrap her with bubble wrap ;)

  2. Lol, yea, it's normal. My brat started at that age, she was dancing and discovered it was fun to turn all the way around. So she did it again, and again, and again. Then she walked straight into the wall, fell down, wobbled like she was drunk, and did it again. I just about bust a gut cause it's funny, so my daughter does it all the time, but she's learned to fall on her couch now so she doesn't get an ouchie, lol. She's 19 months now.

  3. Very normal...spin around until YOU get dizzy...WHAT A BUZZ

  4. LOL! My 15 month old son did this the other day from outta nowhere... he doesn't go to daycare at all either, just stays with me. He also loves putting a blanket over his head and walking into the walls and coffee table... I would guess it's normal!

  5. Yep, normal.  She is testing her vestibular system.  There is a toy for this, a sit n spin.  It would not be normal if she didn't get dizzy.  I have this with my sons.  They have sensory issues and are hypovestibular (don't get dizzy) I am hypervestibular and get dizzy easily, sometimes even from just turning my head!!!
