Is this normal for car insurance?

I have got quote from almost all the comapnies, esurance, independant, state farm, farmers, allstate, and some more . All of them gave me quotes in the upper $2500 for full coverage. The only one were less was allstate $2100 and independant for $1400 thats full coverage for 6 months. Do you guys usually pay this much. I'm 21 and this the first time I'm gettin insurance.

that sounds about right.  try calling an independent agent in your area for quotes.  they write for a lot of companies and i can usually beat the "big name" companies easily with my companies.  some of the best companies are ones you may never have heard of.  just stay with an "A" rated company.

The $1400.00 seems about right for a male under 25.  If American Family Insurance of Madison, Wis. sells in your state, get a quote from them.  They are very competitive and an excelleant company

Because of your age, and assuming that you are not married, and depending on what type of car you drive, this could very well be what you are going to pay.

A whole bunch of factors go into it. I'm 21 and pay $900 every 6 months with state farm. But they take into consideration tickets, accidents, type of car, where you live, and where you commute to. If you live in the city, you're going to pay more than if you live in the country since less people will be driving around you. So if you're 21, live in the city, and have a nice car, you're going to be paying a pretty penny for full coverage.

It all depends on where you are and on your driving record.  Since you're under 25, this would be about right in many states.
