  1. It's very natural for 4 month. when u ignore her she scrim bcoz at that age child have some fear and wont to be with some one who love her to much. in our india at that age almost 80-85 percent child's grandparent;s there for care her his. just do any work u wont to do when she is slipping. or if possible ask your parent or parent in-law for help.

  2. Could she have gas? Could she be teething? Try Mylicon or some Orajel.

  3. She's most likely bored or tired if she isn't hungry. My son does it ALL of the time. Or of course, she just wants her mommy to hold her :)

And I like the line phrase "and played with" as if your baby is going to be content after a little bit of playing. They don't get "full" of playing ;)

  4. My daughter, aka Screamapillar, did the same thing. Except she would calm down when I held her...only me, no one else. As soon as I handed her off to someone she would let loose! They like the motion of walking around so sitting is probably boring her so she is protesting. Laying her down means "naptime" and if your little one likes to know what's going on a bout of screaming is sure to ensue. My daughter liked her bouncy seat so that was my savior. She even slept in it! Anything to keep her from screaming.

    Good luck. It gets easier.
