  1. Flapping wings is a good thing, besides it feels good for the bird it also builds up the chest muscles and strengthens the heart.

Head bobbing while flapping is joy.

Head bobbing when the bird is sick can mean needs to be vet checked.

Plucker's, feather chewer's, feather stripper's and all other birds need moisture in the air and baths. when the weather is warm enough.

Buy a new water sprayer like for plant's. Rinse out the new sprayed with plain running water and spray into the sink to remove and chemicals before using. Then fill the sprayer with cool water, turn the spryer on  to a mist, hold the sprayer bottle high above the birds body and spray so the water floats down and onto the birds body.

    * Birds that have never been sprayed may not like this, so go slow and easy, but do spray your bird every few days. As the bird gets use to this, then spray and spray until he is pretty wet.

When the bird leans to enjoy this, you can add a larger bowl filled alittle with water and place on the bottom grate of the cage for him to bath himself.

Go to this web site, when you get there type in: Afrian Grey, then read and learn.    http://www.birdsnways.com/

    * Many greys don't like getting sprayed, mine doesn't, but her feather's need it so she gets sprayed often.

  2. nope the wing flappin n the head bobing is totaly normal n if she's pluckin is probably molting season

  3. no your bird is not sick. its exsersizing its wings for flying or mateing

  4. This is normal she loves the room out side the cage to flap her wings and to strech them gives her some room to expand her body and shes fine the head bobbing is so cute guess for same reason or shes saying iam free iam not sure.
