Question:

Is this normal for parakeets?

I have a male and a female parakeet; they get along well i guess. But i just saw them like biting each other in the face? The male like nibbling on the females face, around the eye, nose and cheek, but the female is doing nothing to stop it.

Is this normal? A sign of affection, torturing, what is it?

    My boy tries to do that to himself in the mirror lol.  

  5. They are getting JIGGY with it..  

  6. If the female and male is getting this and she/he is not sqwealing and there is no wounds this is normal  

  7. This is called Mutual Grooming and usually is the Budgies way of bonding prior to Mating as the breeding season for Budgies is coming close,

    They are making Love.

    Be prepared for her laying eggs,make sure she has plenty of Cuttle-bone and a Mineral block as the preparation of eggs takes a lot of these minerals from her body.

  8. to you it may look like aggression but for them it is caring for each other. It is like they are grooming each other. Just make sure they are not hurting each other. Are you sure they are male and female? Male blue nose and female tan nose.  

  9. if your girl isnt reacting then theyre in love!!
