Is this normal in a horse?

Well my aunt and uncle own a ranch and I have a horse named "Peppermint" because his fur is kinda reddish brownish, but anyways so when I go to his stable to take him out he acts as if he doesn't want to go anywhere, when I ride him around the ranch, he doesn't go as fast as I want him to, and he just acts as if he's so tired and just doesn't want to do anything. I also noticed that when he was lying down and I was petting brushing his little mane on his head there was a slightly nickle sized lump in the middle of his p***s, could this be something serious? Could this be the reason why he's acting sickly because he might be sick? This is the first horse I've ever had and I'm really scared because I just got him, and I don't want him to die so soon! Any horse experts out there that can tell me what's going on?

  6. I would advise you to tell your aunt and uncle that you need a  Vet to come and see your horse. You can never be too careful! Get him checked. Then, you won't have to worry anymore!

I hope everything turns out alright!

    Good luck!

  7. i think if you are concerned then taking him to the vet would be the best thing to do.

  8. Sounds sick to me.

You should get the vet to check him out.

I doubt anyone here can tell you without actually seeing the horse.

I hope he's alright, My horse Shadow was put down a year ago and I was so sad.

But Peppermint dosent sound too serious so im sure he'll be fine, just get the vet to check him early! =]
