Ok.I started my period in Late January then I got it again in middle of March so its 45 day cycle well I haven't had once since March and I heard that sports/exercise can delay your period is that true? I did track from middle of March till

end of May.They pushed us made us run miles and alot of stuff and do 10 200m sprints right in a row.Once school was out in early June not far from when I finished track we went to the pool mostly every day for 4-5 hrs so that's a lot of excersise their and I came home and shooted some baskets and rode my bike. So I have been active lately and I'm usually not well the years before so I was wonderingn when I will get my period again?

Final Questions:

Does heavy excersise change periods?

Should I be starting again soon because summer is over and I can't go to the pool and I won't be playing sports again till spring?

Please Help.

Thanks so much who do!

  1. Since you have just started your period it isn't regular.  When you first start it may take a year or so for you to have regular monthly periods.  But you are right, in that playing sports and being active can cause your period to be late or not come at all.  Carry a pad or tampon with you so you will always be prepared.  Hope this helps and good luck.

  2. Hey,

the excerise doesnt make THAT much of a delay

i took a gym course of intense workouts EVERYDAY for 2 months,

and mine was only delayed like a week.

Since your new at your period it may be very delayed.

sometimes you onl;y get it 2 times a year

  3. It depends when you got your first period. If your first one was in January then don't worry about it. They can take up to 2 years to settle down. I started my periods nearly 5 years ago and they still aren't regular, don't worry, everyone's different! If you want more information I can recommend a good site.

  4. no it doesn't and the s*x might affect it

  5. well sports are usually a very stressful thing..and all the physical stress on your body probably delayed your period.dont worry no s*x..no problem

    just wait.you'll b fine.

  6. iv had my period 4 a wile now and its still not regular don't worry it will come.
