I'm searching through all of the files abd documents in my computer and I have come across 5 files named like this:

Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.bl

Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.p

Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.r

Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.t

Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.v

Does anyone familiar with programs and such know if these Trojans are harmful? I can delete them but when I try to open them to see what they are I can't understand what it says or I get a message saying:

"NTVDM.EXE has stopped working".

I'm not sure if these are important programs in my computer.

Any advice?

  1. trojan is like the trojan war... they are trying to sneak onto your computer get a viruse scane that will delet all files like that one, also they can be harmful

  2. They are not safe :http://www.viruslist.com/en/viruses/ency...

    Run Malwarebytes - http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

  3. Trojans as a rule are a bad thing to have on your machine.   Like the original Trojan Horse, they can try to download bad programs into your computer.

Also, many anti-virus programs are not able to detect and remove all trojans.

If you do not have an anti-virus installed on your machine, then download AVG free.

You also need an anti-spyware / anti-trojan program, such as Spybot: Search & Destroy  Also free to use.

    http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirro...

(Use the links from Safer-Networking to download.)

Install both programs, or if you already have an Anti-virus program, update it and install Spybot.

Next, to make sure you can detect and kill any bugs, reboot into safe mode.   Hit the F8 key once every second while rebooting the computer.  Continue until the boot menu loads.  Select the option for Safe Mode with Networking.

Open and run the main scan on Spybot.   Fix any problems it detects.

Open and run the main scan on AVG or on your Anti-virus program.   Again, fix any problems you find.

Reboot your machine back into normal windows mode.

Open Spybot and run the Immunize program you will see listed on the left side of the Spybot control panel.

This will protect your computer from some 60,000+ known bad programs, by preventing them from being able to load onto your machine.

    **** luck.

  5. Download SuperAntispyware and SpyBot Search and Destroy. Also use AVG8 in resident protection.

Those programs will keep you safe from anything from now on.
