thanks for any help on this. he's a very spunky and fun and adorable cat. he's very small for his age bc he had a stomach parasite before he was even 2 monthes old ( i nursed him back to health).

so if it's odd, let me know.

  1. No thats not odd at all he is just comfortable is all :-) cute. I have one cat who lays upside down a lot off the couch now thats odd ha ha.

  2. Nope, not odd.

Cats also like to completely splay out their back legs, especially on a tile floor on a hot summer's day  :)

  3. Your cat is just doing his impression of an Imperial Star Destroyer. See the source for a comparison picture.

  4. my cat sometimes does that. shes 1 year and 3 months. its just how they like to lay, its comfy to some. its also like a stretch.

  5. Well, i have a cat, and she is about 2 years, and she lays on her back and rolls around like a dog, and i suspect that every cat has their own little thing that they do, either it's in their movement, or in their look, every cat does something different. i just think your cat is trying to make a impression, maybe she or he is trying to get to know you by sitting that way, try petting her the next time you see he or her doing that, see what happens.

  6. Is your cat a virgin?....must be.

  7. not odd at all!! i love when my cat lays like that, i find it so cute!

  8. I Think Thats Normal.... I lol'd That's A Very Cute Cat! My Cats (20, 5 and 4 years old) All Do That Sometimes....

Very Cute Cat! Have Fun With Your Kitty!

  9. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Lots of cats and dogs lie down like that... I assume it's more comfortable than it looks! The only negative aspect that comes to mind is that he might have sore or painful hips and sitting like this is his way of alleviating that, but if you don't notice any other behaviors where he favors his hips, it's probably nothing. He's very cute, btw :)

  10. that is so cute!!

    No I think it's normal :)

  11. Not at all!  Cats will lay in whatever position they are comfortable in.  I have one cat that like to lay flat on his back, and another that likes to curl up in the bathroom sink.

  12. looks like he is cooling down his tummy...

    totally normal!

  13. Awww your cat is wicked cute. Don't worry. My cat does the same thing. It's perfectly normal.
