Is this ok for me and my brother?

Question

OK so im 15 years old and have a 27 year old brother (Nick) that is amazing i think!

I can tell him anything (periods, guys, school, life anything!)

When he's home to visit with his girlfriend we, wrestle, watch movies together, hang out etc...

I have stayed at their house 4 times for 1-2weeks at a time and its fun!

I don't feel awkward around him or anything!

I call him once a week and always talk on msn!

I can trust him with anything no matter what it is!

My friend says im to close to him and shouldn't be because he's my brother! She says i shouldn't talk to him about some of the stuff we talk about!

When i've stayed with them i've needed to ask him to buy me tampons once cause i didn't bring any and his girlfriend wasn't home!

Well my friend also said that's not right to ask your brother for! Well what was i supposed to do?

He lives far away in Halifax NS and i live in Ontario so only 1-2times a year do i actually get to see him!

When we are together we are pretty much inseperable

Is this ok?

So am i lucky to have him or what?

i think its great that ur brother is so understanding!! i would love to have a bro like that!! you are very lucky and i think your friend is just jealous cause she doesn't have a brother like yours!!

i think that you have a very good healthy relationship with your brother. i see nothing wrong or inappropriate about it. it's good that you have someone you can share everything with.

It's great to hear of such a good relationship with your brother!

I'm an only child, but I am really close to my older cousins and talk to them about anything. Literally, ANYTHING, and I think it's fine.

After all, isn't family there to love you and help you understand life, the universe and everything?

And buy you presents from Bali (hehehe... my cousin comes back from Bali on Tuesday with my presents =D I love family. Even without the present buying lol.)

wow ur lucky and ur friend is wrong it might be rare to be so close but its defenitly not wrong!! haha, i cant even talk to my mom or sister about that stuff, and obviously not MY brother.

I do think it is kind of strange that you guys are so close but he is family and you should be to ask him questions and tell him things about your personal life to. You are blessed to have such a great and understanding brother and it is ok to be inseperable because you miss him.

That's a good thing to have a nice relation ship with your brother. Most bothers and sisters fight all the time. Your friend might be jealous that you guys dont have a relationship like you and your brother do.

Your friend is talking out of the wrong exit port.  You bond with your brother is not only ok, it's beautiful.  Too bad your 'friend' is so jealous of that kind of family bond that she would try to destroy yours.  What a petty excuse for a human being.  That behavior is just wrong.

yeah its cool actually. me and my brother just fight most of the time. we joke around SOME times, but not very often. if your friend was a real friend, she wouldn't say its bad to like to hand out with your brother. and if you needed tampons, you needed tampons. if there was no one else home, then why wouldn't you ask him? and yeah id say you're lucky to have a brother that doesn't want to kill you.  :)

it seems fine to me, you gave a healthy relationship w/ your brother & that's good. Seeing that you don't get to see each other often probably explains why y'all seem inseparable when you do get together. He is your older brother you should be able to trust him. you are lucky to have him. Forget about what your friend said & enjoy having your brother.
