  1. I know you are worried... and stressing about your baby...

    but

    you know what you are doing with her by now

    -- I remember your first few questions and days--

    and

    have seen your answers since then

    -- you know beardies; and you know yours --

    and

    you know that the emotions/worrying wont solve this...

    looking at every difference/variation and/or change

    so --

    since we are not there

    -- but you are --

    we can give you answers in form

    of suggestions as to what this could be

    -- you can go thru rule out one by one what this is not --

    is the light where the other was?

    -- placement; does not go thru glass remember...

    so look at where it is you put the new one;

    is the light --uvb-- penetrating the same way?

    the fixture may have different size hood

    wider = more area

    smaller/narrow = tighter beam

    -- same distance --

    different size may mean a slight to large

    decrease <or increase>

    ---> increase may not be desirable or tolerable either<---

    age of bulb

    -- how long ago did you get your bulb--

    although

    -- from what I have read--

    in testings of uvbs they all have up to a yr of life

    six months it is already

    less effective

    <strength begins to diminish right away>

    on the new light fixture;

    did it say there would be less output of a bulb?

    <<ie. is that how the energy is saved?>>

    which would mean yes your suspicions are correct

    lighting and heating -- very important- very good info on different lights what they do;

    this first one is more generalized in narrowing issues down

    -- it starts with lighting/heating -distance and life of uvbs as well--

    IF the above does not resolve the issue however with your baby

    and:

    --she is not in a shed of any kind

    --has not eaten anything new/different or bad (indoor/outdoor plants is mainly what is going thru my head... but peppers do not agree I have read...

    site listed under quote:

    The following plants have been found on other toxic plant lists or I have found them referred to in various types of literature. I myself will not permit my herbivores to eat them.

    CAPSICUM spp. Peppers, Sweet Peppers, Bell Peppers. Leaves contain solamin and atropine.

    as well as leeks:

    Page 20-

    LEEK (Allium tricoccum); bulbs, bulblets, flowers, stems; gastrointestinal tract affected by plant toxins;

    plant also causes dermatitis.

    site and list:

    http://www.anapsid.org/pdf/plantlists.pd...

    --you know for sure she does not suffer from impactation

    of any kind--

    if all the way thru you have ruled each out so far;

    and

    are not sure whether there is a possibility or not;

    I would try soaking for thirty minutes to one hour even; of course in warm water with adding more warm as it cools (I usually remove a cup of the cooled and add a cup of warm... so the level stays about the same for my lizards)

    I saw you added the heat is the same; but have you taken into consideration the room temp (I am sure you have - but just in case) I noticed that though it gets up to 80-85 degrees here during day the mornings and evenings have ALREADY (early I think) but they are already cooler - real chilly last night; like sweater/oct weather chilly..I am way up north though, you may not have this issue as of yet..

    however;  it is some thing to keep in mind -- room can/does affect the temps in the habitat...

    I hope this has helped you out

    and your baby is back to her active self soon

    thank you for taking time to read this

    much luck

    have a great day!

  2. Sorry, but between the spelling and grammar, I simply cannot understand your question.

    The UV light needs to be within 16" of the lizard for it to benefit.

    It also needs a heat source.

    I hope that answered whatever question you are asking.

  3. im not an expert in reptiles but it sounds as though she's not getting enough light and heat. i no that they are cold blooded, maybe get a bigger light or keep your room a little warmer. and i don't get what you mean by putting uv light is a difrentes socket bad???

  4. don't worry about it she is probably about to shed check if she is but be very gentile and spray her with warm water often
