Is this ok to do with a scorpion and hermit crab

i just bought a habitat that can be divided and i planed to keep my hermit crab in there but its to big and im going to divide it and i was wondering if i can keep a scorpion in the other side that doesnt have the scorpion

  1. hello there

    yes,you can place the two together as long as there are no actual contact between the two.but i suggest differently.i suggest you keep them in separate tanks.becuase,as you probably know,hermait crabs are a very careful animal and they don't like any predator coming near them.so your hermit crab might feel threatened by the scorpion if they see each other though there are no actual physical contact.seeing the scorpion face to face each day is terrifying for the hermit crab.

    the scorpion will benefit,of course.the scorpion,with the hermit crab afraid of it,will feel he/she is the alpha male/female and this is great for the scorpion.

  2. Sure as long as the animals can't get to eachother and the habitats provide ample space for each individual creature.
