I needed something for my female to lay in. Someone said peat moss is good, so I went to the store to get some and all they had was peat moss enriched with miracle grow. My questions is , will this have any ill effects on them? In theory I would think it wouldnt because my grandpaw always uses it to grow his vegetables and I eat the tomatoes grown from miracle grow...

  1. Just because something is safe to grow food in for human consumption doesn't necessarily mean that it's safe for a reptile to absorb through its skin.  I wouldn't put that in your gecko's tank.  I'm not sure if it would be ok or not, but it would be best to err on the side of caution and wait until you can find some peat moss such as that found from the pet store.
