ok . I am against drinking and im sixteen years old. i know there will be alot of people that totally disagree with me. But if you disagree with me- dont waist your time on respnding to this because quite frankly, i dont care. All i want to knwo is.. would u get in trouble for calling the cops in a town that you know minors are having alcohol. their parents are out and you really care about this person. but REGARDLESS of all the personal stuff.. i just want to know if it is okay to even DO THAT... im not saying that I WILL do that. but is it safe for someone to do that? will it get ME in trouble? what would happen? i have an uncle who is a cop but i cant call him right now b.c he is on duty. please jsut anwer me honestly.

In a small town, how many people would these underage drinkers suspect for calling the police about their activities?  I have a feeling you'd be on top of the list.  

Now, even though you may care about these people, and think that stopping their drinking is helping them (from the evils of alcohol, or whatever it is you believe), they will probably have no problem discontinuing acquaintances with you, and/or beat the c**p out of you later.  Add to this the possible jail time the house owner could face, plus the community service and fines that would go along with an MIP charge, you really aren't helping them.

What's worse, going to jail or getting drunk?  Now, physically, one could argue that drinking can cause health problems.  On the other hand, jail can cause mental and physical harm.  

More to the point, it is legally allowed for you to do this.  Morally, I suspect that doing so is no better than simply drinking with them.

Well, you certainly won't get in trouble with the police, but your friends will probably think you're an a*****e, and rightfully so.  It's fine to have your own personal beliefs about alcohol, but don't try to force those beliefs on others... especially not by doing something as lame as calling the cops on them.  If you honestly think there's a significant risk of someone getting hurt, it's ok to call for outside help, but from what I've read from your question, your beliefs about alcohol seem to come from a total lack of experience.

Your friends aren't gonna die if they touch a bottle of liquor.  What they didn't tell you in DARE is that the vast majority of adults--and a whole lot of underage people-- drink with some degree of regularity, and it turns out they aren't all alcoholics and degenerates with melting livers.  Certainly don't let them drive anywhere, but definitely do NOT call the police.  Your friends will probably never talk to you again.

Talk to your friends.  If they still want to drink, talk to their parents, if the parents don't care, talk to yours, if your parents don't care, talk to your uncle (off record) if you're uncle doesn't care--- then neither should you!

Report their underage drinking asses to the police!  Call them up (not 911) and let them know.  The cops might ask for your name, so what.  They arn't going to share it with people.

its ok to call them. in fact, its a good idea to. they wont get mad, in fact, the police will solve the problem, but don't just panic and go call 911. lol. then youd be a freak.

They will arrest your friends and charge them (their parents) a couple hundred dollars in fines and costs.  Better advice, call the parent of you friend and tell them.   If they don't have a problem and are just "being teen-agers", I would call the parents.  Getting police and courts involved can be a slipper slope.
