Is this okay to eat?

Is it okay to eat this? My husband forbids it, but I heard a little mold is ok. Will it be okay if I toast it?

That is pretty YUCK! Isn't penicillin made from bread mold? Not that I would eat it, but I don't think it would kill someone except maybe if they had an allergy.

I've eaten a little mold in my day, and I'm almost certain that that wont meaningfully harm you, especially if you have a strong stomach.

But ... I'll raise you that question and see you a "Why would you eat it?" It won't kill you, but it can't taste good, (mold isn't usually harmful, it's a fungi just like mushrooms). In fact, while I don't know what type of mold that is, many forms of mold are completely harmless, eat as much as you please, but you won't be pleased. However, I while I don't have a culture of it and can't identify what type of mold it is, there are some forms of mold that are toxic, and I wouldn't eat it simply to keep your stomach happy.

Mould spores can give you respiratory problems, namely asthma. Step away from the mould!

Why in the world would you want to eat it?

Not all molds are toxic, but most of them taste bad.

And that slice of bread must be awfully stale!
