this summer in getting a job as an janitor and planning on saving money to buy three kicker comp 12's 8-ohm subs.

i have a kicker "ZR360" idk if you guys seen these type of kicker amps but it states that it does 90x2 at 4-ohms 180x2 at 2-ohms and 200x2 at 1-ohm and 360 at 4-ohms bridged and 400 at 2.66 ohms, 400 at 2-ohms bridged.....weird ratings but will it work for three kicker comp 8-ohms speakers since the three are going to make 2.66 ohms. and also will the amp run hot and how much wattage will each one get? and will this type of set up be loud and clean? thanks

  1. Should work fine.  The amp won't run hot at all since it's 2 ohm bridged mono stable and you intend on running it at 2.66 ohms.

As far as power, you'll be getting 133W per sub.  It'll be enough to run them but you could find they might want more power.

  2. the subs are only 150 watts rms so you should be fine the other guy with the first answer is right
