I am 5.3, 16 years of age and I weigh 130 pounds.

  3. No you are fine. I am actually 5.4 and the doctor said that 130 is a healthy weight range for that height.

  5. At 5 ft 3 in and 130 lbs, you have a Body-Mass Index (BMI) of 23.  I believe that anything under 25 is considered to not be overweight (too low is not good either).

    ^According to this, you have a "healthy body weight", which seems ideal (i.e. not too high or too low)

    The BMI is not always the best measure though.  If you have plenty of muscle mass, the BMI could say that you are overweight when you really are not (since people who are athletic or strength training tend to have lots of muscle mass).  Body fat percentage is the best measure of how well one controls his/her weight, though this is not easily calculated.

    I wouldn't be worrying about extra pounds here and there at that age anyways.  Being underweight at an age when one is still growing poses more risks than being overweight since the body needs Calories to grow.  Having too little bodyfat and too low of a Calorie (especially of fat and protein, since these Calories help build tissues in the body) intake would theoretically stunt your growth and give you problems later in life.

    You are not even close to becoming obese.
