Question:

Is this ovulation spotting? How long does it last?

Yesterday morning and afternoon after I went to the washroom and only when I wiped I noticed the toilet paper was beige/pinkish in color. I am hoping it is ovulation spotting (can anyone confirm?) sine it is only roughly two weeks after my last period (though my period has always been somewhat irregular). The spotting went away by evening/nighttime, but when I went to the washroom this morning and wiped again, the TP was also pink this time, though it seemed a little redder in color.

Is this ovulation spotting? Can anyone confirm please? I know every woman is different but how long should it last?

  1. That happened to me too just two weeks after my period.  It lasted about 3 days.

  2. The trace amount of blood that may appear due to the rupture of the follicle will not be red (like menstrual blood), but will rather exhibit a brownish or pinkish color. For example, you may see just a faint streak of pinkish blood intermingled with cervical fluids during your daily CM check.

During this "fertile phase" of your cycle, cervical mucus will likely be transparent and stretchy, like egg white. If you do happen to discover a small amount of blood at this time, note this light bleeding on your fertility chart as a possible indicator of ovulation. If this is indeed O-spotting, you should see your bbt temperature rising shortly thereafter. This bleeding should not last long, and if it persists for more than a few days, contact your doctor.

I think every individual exhibits different color blood shed.

  3. usually ovulation is a clear discharge.  and at the even of the cycle it starts to turn a bit foggy (that's when you know it's almost over).  are you having cramping?  i'd say it's the start of your period, but like you said everyone is different. call ur gyno, maybe then can give you some advice!!

  4. Hi.  Personally, I haven't heard of spotting from ovulation.  (I could be wrong, but I've just never heard of it.)  There is implantation spotting, but that usually occurs 7-10 days after ovulation.  If you had a period only two weeks ago, I would think it is too early for implantation spotting.  ?

Not sure, but I wish you luck!
