I'm a student and I'm moving back to SD in a couple weeks so I'm trying to find a place on craigslist. I'm pretty good about this stuff but I thought, since I'm in LA for a few more days, I'd ask on here. The guy seems really chill and laid back and he said his place is near 35th and Adams in the Normal Heights area. I've heard mixed things about that part of town but he also said there are tons of bars within walking distance to his place, which would be great, so I don't know what to think. Maybe it's better than I've heard, but I don't know. I used to live in Clairemont but I don't really know much about anything south of the 8. Send the responses my way por favor. Gracias.

  2. no part in san diego is good to live. Do you want to drink reclaimed water?

  3. i love san diego(for the person up top, r u kidding me?)...live life! dont be scared if you need a place get  it...p.b. is a big college area next to the beach!

  4. Normal Heights is a mixed bag.

Some parts are nice, some parts are not.

If it's north of Adams Ave, it will be very nice.

  5. You need to check it out. That part of town can either be really good or really bad. I suggest you visit the area first. There's a lot of revitalization going on in Normal Heights and University Heights, so you should be fine, but I still suggest you see it for yourself.

  6. There are good and bad pockets in the area.  Check it out at night before you commit.

  7. I live in this part of the city, and I love it!  There are tons of restaurants, night clubs, bars, just nightlife in general.  It is safe for the most part, the farther you get away from adams the worse it gets.  You get people from all walks of life and that makes for a good mix. It is also very close to just about everything, I work downtown and don't even get on the freeways!  Good luck and I am sure I will bump into you at the Von's!

  8. 35th and ADAMS !! s***w that . Homie.. CLAIRMONT ?? well thats a Little BIT better. Dude stay away from 35th and ADAMS.. can you say .. "WELCOME TO THE DOPE GAME" .. lol. thats the hot spot . the reason why spots are opening up there is because of all the raids and open houses.
