Is this possible? 17 year old seeking travel?

Question

i want to get the h**l out of my house sooo

is it possible for a 17 to up and leave for a backpacking expedition around europe?

i was thinking i would like to bring a friend but i don't know if i have a crazy enough friend, so maybe alone.

oh and i know i won't have permission from my parents but how much money would i need for this?

hopefully like a month long (the rest of the summer or after graduation next year)

Well if you dislike your parents that much you can search on Google "Host Families" once you click on a link this will give you a list of countries and which you click on one it will give you a list of People/Families that live there that will house you for a charge or sometimes for free. Now the hard part is the plane ticket,  I am not sure how old you have to be to purchase a ticket without parental permission but if you have a U.S. Passport you should be good.

You have to be 18 to travel internationally without your parents permission.  However, maybe if you show them you can plan it all, save thge money yourself etc. they may be a bit more lenient.  do a LOT of research and show them that you are really passionate.  They may suprise you with a 'yes' if you can surprise them with all your hard work.
